Develop them into imaginative short stories, poems, letters, or newspaper articles under the guidance of an experienced teacher and member of the NYC Writing Project.

Children enjoy this fun and creative process and develop essential writing skills that help them express their ideas, thoughts and feelings for both schoolwork and personal projects.

YPP 120 6 sessions / 6 hours / LEHC / 5 Sat 1-2 pm Mar 10-Apr 28 Children will develop creativity and self-confi dence through improvisation, mime games, movement, creative expression and role playing, and using their imagination. Includes elementary backstroke, treading water, improvement of crawlstroke and simple diving.

YPP 27 6 sessions / 7.5 hours / LEHC / Sat - pm Mar 10-Apr 28 This workshop helps in developing creative expression, communication skills and confi dence through movement, voice and acting techniques.

Emphasis is placed on posture, fi nger gripping, rhythm and basic music theory.

At the completion of the class, students will have the ability to play simple melodies.

In addition, they will transform Word Art into a spinning circle, and create stencil and glowing neon letters.

Math skills and test-taking strategies are covered. Includes elementary backstroke, treading water, improvement of crawlstroke and simple diving.

By controlling the timing of each slide, children will synchronize their presentations to music.

Children can let their imaginations soar as they create their own comic book characters, develop a story line, make a cover illustration and put it all together in a comic book format to bring home with them at the end of the course.
